Blog: Epic First Entry

Note: This is the Permalink archive of this post.

So, blogging... I've tried, much like I have real diaries, to get into this a few times, but never really had the mindset to see them through; after all, who cares what I have to say? However, after getting into Andy's blog (Andeh.info) I have decided to start my own.

So here goes:

Today, I went to Morrisons (read: big English supermarket) for breakfast with my Grandparents, who are decidedly old enough that they can follow the same routine every week: Big Breakfast for him, Flying Start for her. She trades him a sausage for one of his hash browns. Woo.

Got back to their house and put the shopping away, before sinking down on the sofa to watch the usual seniors' television. Whilst I don't mind the occasional spot of Bargain Hunt, or Through The Keyhole, an entire day proved too much, so I returned home to face a pile of washing up.

That done, I slinked back to my room to see that the guys at Dark PerFectioN wanted their clan's 'Staff Bios' page done, so I happily obliged - and I must say it's looking rather good. I especially like the picture of 'FireAcolyte', who knew a Google search of 'Nerd' provided such accurate portraits?

After that, played a little more of Half Life 2 (on the Xbox, part of The Orange Box), then watched some show about Skinheads on Sky Anytime. It's funny that none of the people featured realised just how pathetic they look, parading about with their swastikas and big boots... Idiots.

In the world of the Internets, found a great new webcomic (been going for a little while, but I'd never heard of it), called xkcd, based on jokes about maths, programming and language, mostly. The first few comics are artwork, but skip past those and there are some hilarious strips - however the jokes normally come from reading big blocks of text, so if you're a VG Cats fan, best give it a miss.

Also, new iPod advert... Pretty awesome, especially the guy that falls at the end:

Song: Shut Up and Let Me Go by The Ting Tings (now high in the iTunes chart, quelle surprise).

Anyway, I'll draw this to a close by saying Paramount Comedy 2 is showing Mr Bean re-runs from about 11pm, so they're well worth a look for 'retro' lulz. That, and I want to start my own webcomic again...
